Christchurch

Christchurch was the last leg of my little South Island journey. We arrived there a few days earlier than expected, but I'm glad we did. I loved Christchurch. I spent 4 days in this beautiful city and met tons of people. I ran into some guys I met in Queenstown, and met up with Chantelle again. It's amazing how often you run into people while traveling around. I stayed in a hostel and went out to explore the city more everyday with someone I had met in my hostel. It was so great. I cannot wait to get back to Christchurch, and seriously debated staying there instead of going back to Auckland, but who knows, I may go back sooner then I expected.

When I walked out of my hostel, this is what I saw. Cathedral Square. It was always so alive. There was a market on the weekend, were I happily bought sunglasses, a ring and earrings :) There were always street performers (GOOD street performers) and people everywhere. I also had the best hot dog of my life from a little vendor.

The square from another angle.

Some weird thing they had in the square I thought was pretty cool.

This statue was for... um.. I can't really remember lol

The big Christmas tree.

And this is why it is called Cathedral Square. Christchurch Cathedral. Stupid scafolding though! It was still so beautiful.

Inside the Cathedral. We watched a dress rehearsal of the Christmas concert they were putting on that night.

I was harsh geeky crushing on this ginger singer man. He had the best voice and was so funny :)

There was just something so amazing about sitting at Starbucks early in the morning looking across the square with the Cathedral right in my line of vision. I love Christchurch.
