Moment of reflection.

I thought I would take a moment to share some thoughts, feelings and facts about New Zealand.
I have been here for almost 2 1/2 months already, which totally blows my mind, cause I have no idea where the time has gone. I have seen so much of this country, but then it also feels like I've barely seen any of it. Here are some interesting/cool things about New Zealand:

- In Auckland, at big intersections, they stop both sides of traffic so that people can cross in the middle of the street, instead of just one side. It is so awesome, and I was shocked when I first saw it.
- When you take the bus, you DON'T need to have the exact change. You can give them a $20, even though it only costs $1.60. The bus drivers have full tills, so they can give you change. It is beyond convienant.
- Kiwis say "Sweet As" all the time. And just add "as" after a lot of things. I have caught myself saying, "Oh man, this internet connect is slow as mate"
- Basically no one has seen a wild kiwi bird. You have to go to a zoo, and even though you have the chance of not being able to see them.
- Most of New Zealand doesn't like Auckland or "Aucklanders", and I have no idea why. I love Auckland.
- They are taught in school that a man is fishing off the South Island, and he catches this really big fish and he keeps pulling and pulling until he actually pulls out the North Island! That's what little primary school kids are taught. A man pulled the North Island out of the water.

Being away from home has really made me realize how much I do actually love where I live and how awesome BC is. I really truly love New Zealand, and I am definitely loving life here, but I guess there really is "no place like home"
With that said, I think I could live here, but just not at the moment. I really have fallen in love with New Zealand though, and a part of my heart will be here forever :)

I have also come to really enjoy New Zealand wine. I really couldn't stand drinking it at home, but now I can go buy a bottle of wine and actually enjoy it.
