Who climbs a mountain in their jeans?

Well I do apparantly. Today I joined this group hike with some friends to climb a volcano called Rangitoto. We took a 30 min ferry ride to get there, the weather was amazing. It was hot and sunny and the water was crystal clear. Such amazing views! I an finally adding pictures which I hope you all enjoy!

Ahh, there I am on the ferry. It was gorgeous. I was way to hot just wearing that tank top, (which some lovely ladies snuck in my bag) It was so nice to get out of Auckland city!

This is a town called Davenport that you need to take a 5 min ferry ride to get to. It was very cute. I love the water, beach, town and then green hill, which is also a volcano.

THE TOP! I was cursing that hike the entire time. I really didn't expect it to be so hard, but man, the views were so worth it.

Me at the top! I was so tired, but once again, the view was so amazing, and so worth the long hot treck!

We went down into the lava caves. It was cold and wet and the floor was so uneven and rocky. At one point we were crouched down and crawling through the cave. It was pitch black and people kept taking pictures so they could get light. It was really neat.

This is the Auckland skyline and harbour. Take note of the skytower, which you can bungee from. Today I learned Auckland is the 3rd largest city in the world. Did not know that.
