When you think of Sydney, you think...

... the opera house. I must admit, it was rather overwhelming actually standing there and looking at it. It's just one of those buildings that's so iconic, it doesn't seem real. I spent a lot of my time sitting on those steps and letting it sink in that I was in Sydney, sitting at the opera house. What an awesome feeling.

It's so gorgeous at night.

What a sight.

I just want to see some kangaroos

One of my Sydney days, I spent at the zoo. I absolutely had to go and see kangaroos, koala bears, etc. I had a great time seeing all the animals, zoos are always fun. I was so guttered that I didn't see a platypus! It was impossible to see them, but oh well. Still was a good day :)

This guy was biigg. I almost missed my ferry back, but I had to go see the komodo dragon.

Alright, the red pandas were stupidly cute. They were running around everywhere and it was so hard to get a decent picture but I tried. I just want to cuddle one!

Leopard Seal. It reminded me of happy feet, when one tries to eat Mumble. This guy actually looked mean.

Eeee!! Koala Bear. I also wanted to give it a giant cuddle, but this zoo won't let you touch them. I was so excited when I saw them.

YES! The main reason for my zoo trip. You could walk through their enclosure, and something spooked them, so they all went charging and almost knocked me over. It was awesome.

Black Swans.

I love animals. Happy Times.

Sydney Sights

I first arrived in Sydney quite late at night. So my first night there was spent going to bed early. I only had 6 days in Australia, 3 of which were in Sydney, so the next day I went out to do some sight seeing. Unfortunatly the weather wasn't the greatest. It was a lot warmer in Auckland, but oh well.

Aussie Land :)

Some weird origami tiger that was outside the art museum.

Hunngrryy Jacckkss. Australias version of Burger King. It's excatly the same.

Lovely.
Sydney Tower. I think it's really ugly. People say the Auckland sky tower is bad, but this is definitely worse.

This is circle quay. It's where all the ferries are. It's super busy and full of street performers.

Just chillin out with Posidon :)

A statue in the Syndey Botanical Gardens.

The hospital didn't look like a hospital at all. It was all brick and gorgeous. The boar thing was kinda weird though..

I didn't go inside, but I decided to take a photo anyways

I love cathedrals. This one was so gorgeous. I spent about half an hour just wandering around inside.

Today is my 3rd day in Bali, Indonesia. It is hot, so hot. The day I arrived it was 38 degrees! I don't think I've ever sweat this much in my life. It is gorgeous here, really gorgeous. Can't wait to share the photos!

roller coaster

Wow, my moods certainly seem to change quickly. For some reason it just totally hit me that I'm in Australia, and that is just amazing. I freakin love Melbourne and I'm so sad I only had 2 days here, and that I have to leave tomorrow.

It just doesn't seem real that I'm doing this stuff. That I technically live in New Zealand now, and I'm taking mini trips to Australia and Indonesia, like seriously. I can't seem to wrap my head around it, and then bam, it hits me.. and I realize how amazing my life is right now.

Frustrated.

It's my 4th day of my 12 days of travel, and I miss Auckland. I feel like totally face palming myself for being so silly. I'm in Australia for petes sake! Right now I'm in Melbourne. Maybe it's the thought of how expensive Australia is, maybe it's cause now I've gotten worried about going to Bali. Ugh, I dont know what's wrong with me. Why am I like this.. why can't I just enjoy the fact that I'm travelling right now, and it's such a short little trip away from Auckland I should be enjoying every second. SIGH.

Ok, so I was having a rough morning when I wrote this. I'm feeling better now. I've only got a day left in Australia, which is just so weird.. but I am excited for Bali!! Can't wait to swim and lay in the sun :)
